Since its beginnings The Salvation Army has relied on the “hands on” support of the dedicated volunteer. Each year The Salvation Army of Centre County utilizes volunteers to serve the needs of the community. From basic office duties, event planning and preparation, emergency disaster services, special projects, and much more, there is always an opportunity to serve.

The Salvation Army continues to be a means through which many volunteers can be involved in the work of their community. If you want to help others in your community, then why not volunteer some of your time to aid The Salvation Army as they endeavor to help the disadvantaged.

Major annual events, such as, The Salvation Army’s Back-To-School Program, Koats-for-Kids, Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Angel Tree Program, and Red Kettle Campaign rely on the manpower of the volunteer. The volunteer is the army behind The Salvation Army, serving the struggling families in Centre County, PA. To learn what events are currently in need of volunteers, please visit the Events page.
